The beaches in Stone Harbor and Avalon are some of the finest in the whole South Jersey Coast. This seven mile stretch of white sand is clean, well guarded and not as crowded as other surrounding beaches. The water is crystal clear.  Truly this is one of the finest places to vacation.

Avalon Beach Information

According to the Washingtonian Magazine, Avalon is the "best beach in New Jersey" because of its gentle surf, natural dunes and attentive lifeguards. These same high natural dunes have helped shelter Avalon from coastal storms. While on the beach you can jump the waves, soak up the rays, build sandcastles or collect seashells and at the same time be "cooler by a mile".

Bathing and swimming are permitted only at protected beaches where lifeguards are on duty.
